| I had the opportunity to enjoy some time in Alaska over the summer (2009). How many people can say their girlfriend had a business meeting in Alaska they could tag along on? So I went, and we stayed close to ten days in late August! What an amazing trip. I knew it would be cool but who knew this should have been so high on my list of vacations. You will see in the coming weeks as I upload more photos how beautiful it was. I definitely recommend getting up to Alaska. We had some bad luck with weather for our cruise to the fjords so no whales or calving glaciers, but the rest was perfect! This photo was shot just outside our amazing little Bed and Breakfast next to a lake overlooking Mount McKinley. It was a tremendous location and an unheard-of clear day for viewing McKinley. So we later shot over to a lookout for more photos. Hopefully I'll remember to throw some of those photos up, too. |
